Exploration Process

Becoming a resident
Prospective residents -- both buyers and renters -- participate in a structured learning process before deciding to live at EcoVillage. The goal of the process is to provide prospective residents with enough personalized information to decide for themselves whether EcoVillage is the right place for them.

The first steps in the learning process are: Learning about EcoVillage by reading this website thoroughly. Taking a tour of EcoVillage. Visiting overnight and participating in community activities, neighborhood meetings and work teams.

The VC will set up a tour for you, assist you with participation in the requisite meetings and work teams and then point you to the neighborhood Membership Committee.

The MC will send you an application form and arrange a pre-wait list signup meeting with you. At this meeting you will be asked to sign an agreement to abide by all previous and future consensus decisions, and pay the waiting list fee.

The next step will be an Orientation with a member of the Membership Committee of the neighborhood where you will become resident.
